Firstly, all are welcome here...this is a place where everyone belongs...whether you are aware of it or not, you are a part of The Healing Connection...all of us are interconnected...one person's healing, helps to heal the world...There is so much to write about within the world of healing that it seems best to begin by sharing why I decided to start this blog...I've been studying the body-mind-spirit connection for 20 years and have watched as practices which used to be called alternative have now become
" mainstream." There is a significant paradigm shift that is happening all over the globe. It is effecting all sectors of society on the individual and collective level. A new way of looking at ourselves and our world is emerging. It is based on what many people, including myself, are calling the holistic perspective/worldview. People are becoming more aware of our interconnectedness to one another and the rest of creation. A transformation in consciousness is happening which is based upon a fundamental shift at a very deep core level of our being. In essence, humanity as a whole is going through a death/rebirth process. A new consciousness is being birthed which is going to have lasting healing and transformative effects...So, why, The Healing Connection?...because I have been producing and hosting a community television show by this name in Eugene, OR since April 2003 and realize that the topics and information that we share locally need to be put into a blog to generate interest on the global level...There are many people and organizations involved in the global movement of personal and planetary healing and transformation...i am just one voice amongst many who hopefully will ignite a spark inside whoever reads these words to begin expressing what is deepest and most meaningful within you...ultimately, this blog can be summed up in just a few simple words from the great mystic/poet, Antoine de St. Exupery's The Little Prince, " what is essential is invisible to the eye and can only be seen with the heart. " So what you will find here are words that touch the heart and soul...I will be including many voices of the sacred wisdom traditions from around the world and poets and many ordinary folks who happen to be equally as valuable in expressing the Divine Love and Wisdom which flows through everyone and everything...there will be humor and stories, lots of stories that speak to the child within all of us...that magical child who still looks with the eyes of wonder, awe and mystery...ultimately, this is going to be a blog about the healing power of love, compassion, beauty and anything that helps whoever comes here feel more connected to themselves and the world around them...I look forward to connecting with whoever comes here...please feel free to share whatever you would like and lets create a lively, dynamic dialogue that is enriching, inspiring, uplifting and healing for all of us...
